LYNX: Aboriginal Student Career and Employment Program
The LYNX: Aboriginal Student Career and Employment Program was first conceptualized in 2001 by the University of Calgary's Career Services and The Native Centre.
The program was designed to respond to an increased volume in recruitment activity from various companies across the corporate sector seeking direct contact with Aboriginal students in order to meet their diverse recruitment and Aboriginal relations strategies.
The program also helps match the rising demands for a skilled workforce with a rapidly growing Aboriginal population (website accessed August 25th, 2010).
